Puerto Rico must be understood vertically
Puerto Rico is built inside a steep coastal valley. The beach, marina and main service areas occupy the lower level, while hotels and apartments climb the slopes on both sides. This creates wide views and a dense resort, but it also means that two properties with similar map distances can have very different walking conditions.
The skybox makes the valley form immediately visible. Use it to judge height, orientation and the practical relationship between a hotel and the places you expect to use every day.
Puerto Rico or Amadores?
Puerto Rico offers the larger resort centre, marina, shopping and a more active atmosphere. Amadores is centred on a broad curved beach and feels more beach focused. A coastal promenade links the two areas, but the hotel slopes and access routes remain important.
Choose Puerto Rico when you want a larger concentration of services and activities. Compare Amadores when the beach itself is the priority.
What you can see in VistaLINX
Look for the beach and marina at the mouth of the valley, the development rising on both sides and the direction toward Amadores. The hotel markers help reveal which properties are genuinely close to the lower centre and which rely more on lifts, taxis or hillside routes.

Planning questions
Frequently asked questions about Puerto Rico
Is Puerto Rico in Gran Canaria steep?
Yes. Much of the resort is built on the valley sides. Some accommodation is close to the beach horizontally but significantly higher. Check the exact property position and access route.
What is the difference between Puerto Rico and Amadores?
Puerto Rico has the larger resort centre, marina and broader mix of services. Amadores is more concentrated around its curved white sand beach. They are neighbouring areas with a coastal connection.
Is Puerto Rico good without a car?
Many visitors rely on walking, taxis, buses and resort lifts. Whether that works comfortably depends heavily on the hotel’s elevation and your mobility.
Why are hotel positions especially important in Puerto Rico?
Because the resort is three dimensional. Elevation and the side of the valley can affect beach access, sunlight, walking routes and how close the main centre feels in practice.
